Jonathan Rowland

Chairman at R3 Sport

Jonathan Rowland is a British entrepreneur renowned for founding Redwood Bank and, more recently, R3 Sport. Established in 2017, Redwood Bank is a UK-based challenger bank that provides business loans and savings accounts to small and medium-sized enterprises. In 2024, Rowland launched R3 Sport, a sports and entertainment company focusing on the rapidly growing sport of padel tennis. R3 Sport’s initiatives include managing top British professional players, hosting elite tournaments, constructing venues, and distributing leading padel brands.

Nikhil Mohindra

Director at R3 Sport & Player

Nikhil Mohindra is a professional Padel player for Great Britain and co-founded R3 Sport. After leaving school, Nikhil worked in the family business - the leading Asian clothing brand in the UK and USA for 16 years, boasting stores all over the world including London & New York. More recently Nikhil has moved into the business side of Padel while still continuing to play padel professionally as a top GB ranked player.

Sam Kemp

Managing Director of Operations, Tournaments & Events

Sam is an experienced sports management professional previously working for the FA, England Netball and the LTA. With a proven track record of delivering operational excellence, Sam has previously managed the largest junior participation competitions in Great Britain and led the integration and development of padel for the LTA. Now at R3 Sport, Sam is working to elevate padel in the UK through innovative events, strategic partnerships, and a player-first approach that creates scalable solutions to deliver meaningful impact.

Max Holloway

CEO MRH Bullpadel

Max has a wealth of experience in the racket sports industry, including padel and pickleball. In partnership with R3 Sport, Max leads MRH Sport a distribution and retail company with experience through B2B, B2C & DTC channels. With exclusive distribution rights for Bullpadel in UK & Ireland As well as MAXE pickleball, a new pickleball brand built for consumer value Max implements a hands on sales & marketing approach, providing expert product and strategic support, as well as distribution.

Catherine Rose

Junior Associate

Catherine is a professional padel player and Great British no.3. With a background as an ex-tennis and rugby player, Catherine turned to padel in 2022 and has been playing professionally since the 2024 season. In addition to competing internationally, Catherine supports R3 Sport with a focus on social media engagement and sponsorship acquisition.

Javier Lopez Garcia

Non-exec Director R3 Sport

Javier López is a professional padel player and coach. For 10 years, Javier was ranked number 1 in the United Arab Emirates and reached the 110th in the world rankings. Currently, he works as the National Junior Padel Coach in the UAE, where he is focusing on the training needs and support of the next generation in the sport.

Andrew Thatcher

Non-exec Director R3 Sport

Andrew is a fintech entrepreneur who founded Flagstone, the UKs largest cash deposit platform, in 2013 after a 15-year career in banking and hedge funds working for Merrill Lynch, Citigroup and GLG Partners across Europe and Asia. With significant experience across the financial sector, Andrew supports the board of R3 as we look to achieve our growth ambitions.

Sam Jones

Non-Exec Director R3 Sport

Sam Jones is GB number 2, former Junior number 1 and currently represented Great Britain 12 times. A career high of 159 in the world. Sam moved to Spain to go pro in 2016 at just the age of 16, living in Marbella, Barcelona, Alicante, Madrid and Dubai all to train and compete. Sam was the first British player to win a FIP title in 2019. Sam successfully helped grow and sold his first club to Padel United in 2021. Since then Sam was one of the first investors in R3 sport who are the leading company for growth in padel across the UK with big plans heading into 2025.
